A clockwise or sunwise direction of motion. In meteorology, it describes a wind that shifts in a clockwise manner, a process also known as veering, which is often associated with the passage of a warm front. This direction of rotation is characteristic of anticyclones, or high-pressure systems, in the Northern Hemisphere.
