Diffusion model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005012
A mathematical representation used to simulate the transport and dispersion of substances, such as pollutants or trace gases, in the atmosphere. These models typically employ Fick's laws of diffusion to describe the spreading of a substance from a source. They are used for air quality forecasting and assessing pollutant impacts.
