Diffusion coefficient
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005009
A proportionality constant that quantifies the rate at which a substance diffuses through a medium. It relates the flux of a substance to its concentration gradient, as described by Fick's laws of diffusion. This coefficient is typically measured in units of square meters per second (m²/s).
