Advective model

A mathematical or numerical model that primarily simulates the transport of atmospheric properties, such as pollutants, heat, or moisture, by the mean wind flow. These models focus on the horizontal movement of substances within the atmosphere. They are often used for air quality forecasting and tracking the dispersion of plumes from sources.
