Dispersive flux
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005059
The transport of a scalar quantity, such as heat or a chemical tracer, due to the correlation between fluctuations in velocity and fluctuations in the scalar itself. It represents the net movement of a substance caused by turbulent eddies. This flux is a key component in understanding atmospheric boundary layer processes and pollutant transport.
