Equilibrium vapor pressure
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005442
The pressure exerted by a vapor that is in thermodynamic equilibrium with its condensed phases, such as a liquid or solid, at a given temperature. At this point, the rate of evaporation equals the rate of condensation. This pressure increases with temperature and is a key factor in cloud formation.
