Experimental basin
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005507
A designated geographical area, typically a watershed or a portion of one, where controlled hydrological and meteorological measurements are systematically collected to study environmental processes. These basins are used to investigate the effects of land use changes, climate variability, or specific interventions on water balance, runoff, and erosion. Data from these sites contribute to understanding regional water resources and developing predictive models.
