Fallout

The deposition of particulate matter from the atmosphere onto the Earth's surface. This can result from natural processes like volcanic eruptions or dust storms, or from human activities such as nuclear explosions or industrial emissions. The rate and distribution of fallout depend on particle size, atmospheric winds, and precipitation.
