Radioactive fallout

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008337

The deposition of radioactive particles from the atmosphere onto the Earth's surface, resulting from nuclear explosions or accidents at nuclear facilities. These particles can be carried long distances by winds before settling, posing environmental and health risks. The rate and pattern of fallout depend on factors like particle size and meteorological conditions.
