Radioactive precipitation

Rain, snow, or other forms of precipitation that contain radioactive materials. This occurs when radioactive particles, often from nuclear events, become incorporated into cloud droplets or ice crystals and are subsequently brought to the ground. It represents a mechanism for the removal of airborne radioactivity from the atmosphere.
