False warm sector
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005538
An area of relatively warm air that appears to be a warm sector on a weather map but is not associated with the typical synoptic-scale dynamics of a true warm sector. This can occur due to localized heating or the advection of warm air from a different source. It lacks the characteristic pressure and wind patterns of a genuine warm sector.
