Florida Current

A warm ocean current that flows northward along the southeastern coast of Florida, originating from the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico. It transports a substantial volume of tropical water into the North Atlantic Ocean. This current eventually merges with the Antilles Current to form the Gulf Stream, contributing to the global thermohaline circulation.
