Fringe region

A transitional area at the outer edge of a meteorological phenomenon or system, where its influence gradually diminishes. This region often exhibits characteristics of both the main system and the surrounding environment. For example, the fringe region of a hurricane might experience gusty winds and scattered showers rather than the core's intense conditions.
