A cold, strong, and squally northwest wind that affects the western and central regions of France, particularly the Bay of Biscay. This wind is associated with the passage of cold fronts and can bring sudden drops in temperature and heavy precipitation. It is a regional wind phenomenon, similar to the mistral or bora.
