Grass

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006032

Vegetation consisting of herbaceous plants with narrow leaves growing from the base, forming a ground cover. In meteorology, the presence and type of grass influence surface albedo, evapotranspiration rates, and near-surface air temperature. It is a key component of many land surface models used in climate simulations.
