Haze line
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006180
A distinct visual boundary observed in the atmosphere, separating clearer air above from a lower layer containing a higher concentration of aerosols. This line is often associated with a stable atmospheric layer, such as a temperature inversion, that prevents the vertical mixing of particulate matter. It marks a noticeable change in visibility and atmospheric clarity.
