Arctic haze

A widespread, brownish-red haze observed in the Arctic atmosphere, particularly during late winter and spring. This phenomenon is caused by the accumulation of anthropogenic pollutants, such as sulfates and soot, transported from industrial regions at lower latitudes. Arctic haze significantly reduces visibility and can impact the regional radiation budget.
