Dry haze

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005161

Atmospheric obscurity caused by the presence of microscopic solid particles, such as dust, smoke, or pollen, suspended in relatively dry air. Unlike wet haze, which involves water droplets, dry haze does not significantly depend on high relative humidity for its formation. It reduces visibility and often gives the sky a yellowish or brownish tint.
