Haze droplet
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006177
A microscopic liquid particle, typically composed of water and dissolved hygroscopic substances, that forms in the atmosphere under conditions of high relative humidity but below saturation. These droplets are too small to be visible individually but collectively scatter light, contributing to atmospheric haze. They grow in size as relative humidity increases, eventually forming fog or cloud droplets.
