Frost haze
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005826
A type of atmospheric haze composed of numerous tiny ice crystals suspended in the air, occurring at very low temperatures. Unlike typical haze formed by liquid water droplets or aerosols, frost haze forms when water vapor sublimates directly into ice. It can reduce visibility, particularly in polar or high-altitude regions.
