Ice-crystal cloud

A cloud composed predominantly or entirely of ice crystals rather than liquid water droplets. These clouds form at high altitudes where atmospheric temperatures are well below freezing, typically below -20°C. Cirrus, cirrostratus, and cirrocumulus clouds are the primary types of ice-crystal clouds, characterized by their thin, wispy, and fibrous appearance.
