Fibratus

A cloud species consisting of detached, thin, and fibrous filaments that may be straight or irregularly curved. This species is characteristic of cirrus and cirrostratus clouds, which are composed of ice crystals at high altitudes. Unlike the uncinus species, fibratus clouds do not have hook-shaped tufts at their ends.
