Cirriform

  1. Describing clouds that are thin, wispy, and composed primarily of ice crystals, characteristic of high-altitude formations. These clouds have a fibrous or hair-like appearance and are often white or light gray. The term applies to the main cloud genera of cirrus, cirrostratus, and cirrocumulus, all of which form at altitudes above 6,000 meters (20,000 feet) in temperate regions.

  2. High altitude ice clouds with a very thin wispy appearance.
