Intortus

A species of cirrus cloud characterized by irregularly entangled or twisted filaments, giving the cloud a chaotic or tangled appearance. These clouds are composed entirely of ice crystals and form at high altitudes, generally above 6,000 meters (20,000 feet). The twisted structure distinguishes them from other cirrus species like fibratus or uncinus.
