Ice day

A meteorological day during which the maximum air temperature remains at or below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) for the entire 24-hour period. This classification is used in climatology to characterize the severity of winter conditions in a particular region. The number of ice days can indicate the duration and intensity of cold spells.
