Rain day

A calendar day on which a measurable amount of precipitation, specifically rain, is recorded at a given location. The threshold for a measurable amount varies by meteorological agency, but it is commonly defined as 0.2 millimeters or more. This metric is used in climatology to characterize regional precipitation patterns and drought conditions.
