Inland sea breeze
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006558
A localized wind system that develops over land, driven by differential heating between adjacent land surfaces with varying thermal properties, mimicking the dynamics of a coastal sea breeze. This phenomenon occurs when one land area heats up more rapidly than another, creating a pressure gradient that drives air movement. Such breezes can influence local weather patterns and air quality far from a coastline.
