Intrinsic permeability
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006626
A measure of the ability of a porous medium to transmit fluids, independent of the fluid's properties. It quantifies the ease with which a fluid can flow through the interconnected pore spaces of a material, such as soil or rock. Intrinsic permeability is typically expressed in units of square meters (m²) or darcies.
