Isanthesic line
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006671
A line on a map connecting locations where a specific phenological event, such as the first flowering of a particular plant species, occurs on the same date. These lines are used in bioclimatology to track the progression of seasons, particularly spring, across a geographical area. The spacing of isanthesic lines indicates the rate at which seasonal conditions are advancing, with closer lines showing a more rapid change.
