Isanomaly
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006670
A line on a map connecting points of equal anomaly for a specific meteorological variable, where the anomaly is the departure from a mean or normal value. Isanomalies are used to highlight areas where conditions deviate from the expected climate average for a given time. A chart of isanomalies for January temperature would show lines connecting points with the same deviation from the long-term average January temperature.
