Isogon
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006697
A line on a weather map connecting points of equal wind direction. Isogons are used to analyze the flow of air, revealing patterns such as convergence, where wind flows together, and divergence, where it spreads apart. On a synoptic chart, isogons are typically drawn at intervals of 10 or 30 degrees, showing the direction from which the wind is blowing.
