Milankovitch solar radiation curve

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007302

A graphical representation of the calculated variations in insolation received at different latitudes and times of year, based on changes in Earth's orbital parameters. This curve illustrates the cyclical fluctuations in solar radiation over tens to hundreds of thousands of years. It is a key component of the Milankovitch theory of climate change.
