Mile

A unit of length commonly used in some countries, particularly for measuring distances in aviation and navigation. In meteorology, it is sometimes used for visibility measurements or distances to weather phenomena. One statute mile is equal to 1,609.344 meters, while a nautical mile is 1,852 meters.
