NDVI
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007488
The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, a graphical indicator used to analyze remote sensing measurements, often from satellite imagery, and assess whether the target contains live green vegetation. It quantifies vegetation health by measuring the difference between near-infrared and red light reflected by plants. NDVI values range from -1 to +1, with higher values indicating denser, healthier vegetation.
