Philippines Current

A warm, northward-flowing ocean current that originates east of the Philippines, forming part of the western boundary current system in the North Pacific. It is a continuation of the North Equatorial Current and transports warm, saline waters poleward. This current contributes to the regional climate and marine biodiversity of the western Pacific Ocean.
