Piezometric head
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007944
The total hydraulic head at a given point in a fluid, representing the sum of the elevation head and the pressure head. It indicates the height to which water would rise in a piezometer installed at that point. In hydrogeology, differences in piezometric head drive groundwater flow, moving from areas of higher head to lower head.
