Polacke

A cold, dry, and gusty northeasterly wind that occurs in the region of Bohemia, now part of the Czech Republic. This wind is a type of katabatic or fall wind, descending from the surrounding mountains and plateaus into the Bohemian basin, primarily during the winter. The polacke shares characteristics with other cold European fall winds, such as the bora of the Adriatic region.
