Poriaz

A strong, cold, and gusty northeasterly wind that blows over the Black Sea, primarily affecting the coasts of Bulgaria and Romania. This wind is associated with a high-pressure system situated over Russia or Ukraine, which drives cold continental air towards the warmer sea. The Poriaz is most frequent during the winter months and is similar in character to the Bora wind of the Adriatic Sea.
