Prairie

A type of grassland ecosystem characterized by a dominance of grasses and herbaceous plants, with few or no trees. These biomes occur in temperate regions with moderate rainfall, supporting rich biodiversity. In North America, prairies are extensive, covering large areas of the central United States and Canada.
