A grassland ecosystem characterized by scattered trees and shrubs, typically found in tropical or subtropical regions with distinct wet and dry seasons. The vegetation is adapted to periodic droughts and fires, which prevent the establishment of dense forests. These biomes cover large areas of Africa, South America, and Australia.
