Precipitation effectiveness

A measure of how much of the total precipitation contributes to soil moisture and plant growth, rather than being lost to runoff or evaporation. This concept considers factors such as precipitation intensity, timing, and the type of surface it falls upon. It is a key factor in agricultural meteorology and hydrological modeling.
