Pseudo front

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008189

A boundary in the atmosphere that exhibits some characteristics of a meteorological front, such as a localized gradient in temperature or wind, but does not involve the convergence of air masses with distinctly different origins. These boundaries can arise from local topographic effects, differential heating, or sea breezes. They often produce localized weather phenomena but are not associated with large-scale synoptic systems.
