The Pollutant Standards Index, a measure of air quality developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It reports daily air quality for five major air pollutants: ground-level ozone, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. The index is a numerical scale from 0 to 500, with higher values indicating greater levels of air pollution and associated health concerns.
