Flue gas

The gaseous mixture emitted from combustion processes in industrial facilities, power plants, or domestic heating systems, typically discharged through a chimney or stack. It primarily consists of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, water vapor, and excess oxygen, along with pollutants like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. Environmental regulations impose limits on the composition of flue gas to control air pollution.
