Pulse coding
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010694
A technique employed in radar systems where the transmitted radar pulse is modulated with a specific code sequence. This modulation allows for improved range resolution and signal-to-noise ratio, particularly in meteorological applications. Different coding schemes, such as Barker codes or linear frequency modulation, are used depending on the desired radar performance characteristics.
