A standardized set of three-letter message codes used in radiotelegraph and radiotelephone communications to convey complex information quickly and clearly. In meteorology, specific codes are used to transmit weather data, particularly in aviation, such as QNH for the local altimeter setting based on mean sea level pressure. Each code can be a question when followed by a question mark or a statement when not.
