Radar meteorological observation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008269
The process of collecting data on atmospheric conditions and phenomena using radar systems. These observations provide information on precipitation type, intensity, motion, and the internal structure of storms. Modern radar systems, such as Doppler and dual-polarization radars, offer detailed insights into wind fields and hydrometeor characteristics.
