Asynoptic observation

A meteorological measurement taken at a time not synchronized with the standard synoptic observation times, which are typically 00, 06, 12, and 18 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). These observations provide additional data points between the routine synoptic reports. Examples include data from automated weather stations or satellite soundings that collect information continuously.
