Representativeness

The degree to which a meteorological measurement or observation accurately reflects the conditions of a larger area or volume. It considers factors like sensor placement, local topography, and the spatial variability of the atmospheric parameter being measured. For example, a temperature reading from an airport may not be representative of a nearby urban center.
