Snow blindness

A temporary, painful eye condition caused by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation reflected off snow or ice. The intense UV light damages the cornea, leading to symptoms such as blurred vision, pain, and a gritty sensation in the eyes. This condition is preventable by wearing appropriate eye protection, such as sunglasses or goggles.
